NHISD is a rural K-12 school district in Northern Hopkins County, Texas, located on FM 71 West. The Class A school is attended mostly by students from Peerless, Birthright, Tira and Beckham communities who are housed on one cmapus. Six bus routes transport the 450 students to and from school. Superintendent Donna George oversees the district and the school is served by seven elected board members. The school offers boys and girls sports (volleyball, cross country, basketball, track, golf, softball and baseball), UIL activities, vocational and technology courses and various student organizations such as Student Council, BETA, and FFA.
